Thai Household and Home Care Products Wholesale: Air Fresheners, Laundry and Cleaning

Home care is a large and steady category: households buy air fresheners, detergents and cleaning products every month. Thailand produces home care goods for both local and international brands, with a strong focus on scent — from fruity and floral fresheners to clean, cool laundry fragrances — and colourful, retail-ready packaging.

What you can source

  • Air fresheners — gel and solid fresheners, sprays, reed diffusers and scented sachets for rooms, cars and wardrobes.
  • Laundry products — liquid and powder detergents, fabric softeners and fragrance boosters, often in refill pouches.
  • Cleaning products — dishwashing liquids and surface cleaners.
  • Home fragrance — candles and diffusers for gift and lifestyle retail.

Ask for safety documents

Many home care products are chemical mixtures. Ask the supplier for a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for each product: your forwarder, your customs broker and sometimes your regulator will need it. Some countries also regulate household chemicals and require registration or specific warning labels — confirm the rules for your market before importing.

Shipping rules: aerosols and liquids

  • Aerosol sprays are usually classed as dangerous goods. They can often travel by sea with the correct declaration, but air shipping is limited. Tell your forwarder in advance.
  • Liquids such as detergents are heavy, so freight is a large share of landed cost; sea freight is normally the practical choice.
  • Refill pouches are lighter than bottles and pack more efficiently — worth considering for price-sensitive markets.

Labels and packaging

Check whether products carry English or local-language labels, usage instructions and warnings required in your market. Ask for carton configurations and pallet patterns for larger orders.

Building a range

A practical starter range might combine a few air freshener formats in best-selling scents, one or two detergents and a fabric softener. Scent preferences vary by market, so test several before committing to large volumes of one fragrance.
